Thompson — Thompson RCMP respond to structure fire

On July 24, 2024, at approximately 3:20 am, RCMP responded to a structure fire at Westwood School in Thompson. Officers immediately attended along with the Fire Department. It is believed there was no one inside the building at the time of the fire.   The fire continued to burn this morning and Thompson Fire Department along with Vale Manitoba Operations Mine Rescue Firefighters were on scene attempting to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire has not been determined and remains under investigation.

Emerson — RCMP Major Crime Services make arrest in homicide in Emerson Monday 04 March 2024 03:30 PM UTC+00 | Tags: manitoba On March 1, 2024, at approximately 7:35 pm, Emerson RCMP received a call of a deceased male inside a residence on 2nd Street in Emerson, Manitoba. Officers attended and located a 48-year-old male from the community deceased as a result of homicide. The deceased was the resident of the home. RCMP Major Crime Services investigators attended to Emerson. Investigation quickly determined this was an isolated incident and there was no risk to public safety.
