Gretna — RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region arrest male for human smuggling at Canada/US border near Gretna

On August 22, 2024, at approximately 10:30 pm, officers from the RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region's Integrated Border Enforcement Team (IBET) in Manitoba, working with counterparts from the United States Border Patrol, became aware of a border incursion happening west of the Gretna Canada Border Services Agency Port of Entry.

RM of Prairie Lakes — Killarney RCMP respond to fatal two-vehicle collision

On September 7, 2024, at approximately 10:05 pm, Killarney RCMP received a report of an erratic driver, involving a grey-colored pickup truck, on Highway 23 in the area of Belmont.   While officers were en route to the area, they came across a two-vehicle collision on Highway 23, located just east of Ninette at the bridge. One of the vehicles involved was a grey-colored pickup truck.

RM of Riding Mountain West — RCMP Underwater Recovery Team locates submerged vehicle from the 1970s and solves a mystery

On August 20, 2024, Russell RCMP received a report of a submerged vehicle in Lake of the Prairies in the RM of Riding Mountain-West. The individual who located the vehicle was able to provide police with fish finder images and the GPS location.
