Steinbach — Update - Steinbach RCMP looking for help to identify injured woman

The female has been identified. The RCMP thanks the public and the media for their assistance. On July 27, 2024, Steinbach RCMP received a report of an unknown woman who had been brought to local hospital. When police arrived at the hospital, it was determined that the adult female had been hitchhiking on Highway 1 by Highway 12 and appeared to be in distress, so a passerby picked her up and took her to the hospital.

God's Lake Narrows — God's Lake Narrows RCMP recover drugs during search

On July 27, 2024, at approximately 11:55 am, God's Lake Narrows RCMP received a request from First Nations Safety Officers (FNSO) for assistance at a residence located in the community. Officers attended and met with the FNSO's who advised they had taken a 28-year-old male, from Winnipeg, into custody for Obstruction in relation to a drug investigation. A search of the suspect, along with a fanny pack found in his possession, led to the seizure of a number of baggies, believed to contain cocaine, and a small amount of cash.

Norway House — Norway House RCMP seize large quantity of drugs and cash

On June 27, 2024, as part of an ongoing investigation, the North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team, along with Norway House RCMP, the Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services, executed a warrant at a residence on Kinosao Sipi Cree Nation. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of over $30,000.00 in Canadian currency, 771 grams of crack cocaine, estimated to be worth over $77,000.00, and other drug paraphernalia.
