Ebb and Flow First Nation — Update - Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP looking for missing teen

Joseph McIvor has been safely located. The RCMP thanks the public and the media for their assistance. On July 9, 2024, Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP received a report of a 16-year-old male who had left his residence and not yet returned home, despite friends saying they had seen him. RCMP have conducted patrols and checked numerous residences after people reported seeing the youth, however police have still been unable to locate Joseph Ryan McIvor and need to know that he is safe. It is believed McIvor is still in Ebb and Flow First Nation.

Portage la Prairie — Portage la Prairie RCMP respond to multiple theft/robberies and make arrests

On September 5, 2024, within several hours, RCMP responded to five thefts/robberies at businesses in Portage la Prairie where the suspects were reported to be acting violently and erratically. Officers determined that two males and one female suspect were involved and in many instances employees were threatened or assaulted during the theft. In one incident, a Community Safety Officer(CSO) was assaulted when an attempt was made to arrest the suspects.   Video surveillance was obtained and officers identified the suspects.
