RM of East St Paul — Update - Selkirk RCMP investigating after body found in the Red River

The body pulled from the Red River on September 21, 2024, has been identified as a 29-year-old male, from Winnipeg, who was reported missing to the Winnipeg Police Service on October 8, 2024. The investigation, along with the results of the autopsy, have confirmed that no criminality was involved in his death.

Tataskweyak Cree Nation — Thompson Rural RCMP investigating suspicious persons leads to seizure of cash

On November 8, 2024, at 7:00 am, Thompson Rural RCMP received a report of suspicious persons in a vacant home located in Tataskweyak Cree Nation. Information obtained by police indicated that the suspicious persons were possibly armed. Officers attended and surrounded two nearby properties, one vacant and the other habited. Officers instructed those who may be inside to exit the homes immediately. A 32-year-old male, from Tataskweyak Cree Nation, complied with commands and was arrested without incident.
