On November 8, 2024, at 7:00 am, Thompson Rural RCMP received a report of suspicious persons in a vacant home located in Tataskweyak Cree Nation. Information obtained by police indicated that the suspicious persons were possibly armed. Officers attended and surrounded two nearby properties, one vacant and the other habited. Officers instructed those who may be inside to exit the homes immediately. A 32-year-old male, from Tataskweyak Cree Nation, complied with commands and was arrested without incident.
