On July 27, 2024, at approximately 11:55 am, God's Lake Narrows RCMP received a request from First Nations Safety Officers (FNSO) for assistance at a residence located in the community. Officers attended and met with the FNSO's who advised they had taken a 28-year-old male, from Winnipeg, into custody for Obstruction in relation to a drug investigation. A search of the suspect, along with a fanny pack found in his possession, led to the seizure of a number of baggies, believed to contain cocaine, and a small amount of cash.
