On November 29, 2024, at 6:45 pm, Fisher Branch RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17, near Road 137 N, located approximately six kilometers south of Fisher Branch. The investigation has determined that a pickup truck, driven by a 60-year-old male from Gardenton, was travelling south on Highway 17 when it collided head-on with a SUV with two occupants, a 69-year-old female driver and a 71-year-old female passenger, both from Peguis.

While patrolling the area, officers conducted a traffic stop and recognized the male driver of the vehicle as a person with an outstanding warrant.
