Gods Lake Narrows — Gods Lake Narrows RCMP investigate aggravated assault

On July 15, 2024, at approximately 9:30 am, Gods Lake Narrows RCMP responded to an aggravated assault that occurred at a residence on Manto Sipi Cree Nation. They were advised the victim was currently at the nursing station with serious injuries. It was reported that the victim, an adult female, was at a residence with the adult male suspect when he assaulted her physically and with weapons over a period of four hours. Eventually, she was able to get to safety and RCMP were called.
