Camperville — Winnipegosis RCMP and Police Service Dog Marook rescue infant

On April 18, 2024, at approximately 2:35 pm, Winnipegosis RCMP received a report that a male had threatened to use a firearm on residents of a home and then fled the residence with an infant. It was unknown if the male had access to a firearm. The male was known to the residents. A short time later, RCMP located the vehicle the male was travelling in, and officers saw the male leave the vehicle and flee on foot into the bush with the infant, who was not dressed for the sub-zero temperatures.
