Gods Lake Narrows — Gods Lake Narrows RCMP investigate fatal fire

On February 18, 2024, at approximately 3:00 am, Gods Lake Narrows RCMP received a report of a structure fire in the East Wasahak area in Gods Lake Narrows. Officers attended immediately and found that the female resident of the home had been pulled from the residence by community members and taken to the Nursing Station. No other people were believed to be in the residence. Officers attended the Nursing Station. When they arrived, life-saving measures were being given to the 34-year-old female pulled from the fire. The female succumbed to her injuries.
