On December 7, 2024, at approximately 1 :30 pm, Chemawawin RCMP received a call about a male that had been assaulted, and was being treated at the Easterville Nursing Station. When officers arrived, they discovered a 25-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to the chest. The investigation determined that the victim was assaulted at a residence on Frankway Drive in Chemawawin. Officers attended that residence, and arrested a 20-year-old male who was known to the victim, without incident.
