Thompson — Thompson RCMP investigating serious assault

On November 5, 2024, at approximately 8:30pm, Thompson RCMP received information about a male that had been admitted to hospital with serious injuries. After further investigation, officers discovered 64-year-old Melvin Anderson was found in front of a residence on Martin Bay during the early evening of November 4, after a family member was alerted to his location. Due to the nature of the victim's injuries, he was transferred to a hospital in Winnipeg where his condition has improved.
