Cross Lake Cree Nation — Cross Lake RCMP respond to fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision

On November 21, 2024, at 6:25 pm, Cross Lake RCMP received a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on the Main Road in the community. The suspect vehicle failed to remain at the scene. Officers attended and located a 38-year-old male, from Cross Lake Cree Nation, with life-threatening-injuries. Cross Lake EMS transported the victim to the nursing station where he was pronounced deceased.
