On October 14, 2024, at approximately 12:20 am, Powerview RCMP received a report of a female being assaulted on Northshore Road in Sagkeeng First Nation. Officers attended immediately and located a 26-year-old female at the side of the road. She was pronounced deceased on scene. Police were able to track the suspect to a nearby residence. RCMP Major Crime Services deployed and took carriage of the investigation.

Portage la Prairie — Portage la Prairie RCMP arrest WANTED male Wednesday 31 January 2024 09:15 PM UTC+00 | Tags: manitoba On January 25, 2024, RCMP attended a residence on Oak Bay in Portage la Prairie to attempt to locate a WANTED male. The male was WANTED on two outstanding warrants for several charges including Flight from a Peace Officer, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and several weapons offences. Officers located the male and he was arrested without incident. A search resulted in the seizure of 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 4 grams of crack cocaine, a knife, a mask and drug paraphernalia. Tags:
