Easterville — Chemawawin RCMP investigating homicide Friday 21 June 2024 03:45 PM UTC+00 | Tags: manitoba On June 21, 2024, at approximately 2:10 am, Chemawawin RCMP responded to a report of a deceased female located in an open area in the community of Easterville.Officers attended to the location and discovered a 16-year-old female with obvious injuries who was pronounced deceased. Her death is being investigated as a homicide. RCMP have arrested a male in relation to this homicide who remains in police custody at this time. Tags: manitoba

Winnipeg — Manitoba RCMP respond to two separate incidents of threats at schools Thursday 08 February 2024 08:00 PM UTC+00 | Tags: manitoba On February 6, 2024, Manitoba RCMP officers responded to two separate reports of youths uttering threats involving firearms at two schools in western Manitoba. One school was in the RM of Alonsa and the other in the RM of Portage la Prairie.  In the first incident, it was reported that a youth had threatened to bring a gun to school. The youth was detained and no firearm was located. Further investigation determined that the youth had assaulted two youths earlier in the day and also uttered threats. Tags: manit...
