Powerview — Powerview RCMP seize firearms, drugs and cash

On August 31, 2024, as part of an ongoing investigation into firearm offences in the community, Powerview RCMP along with assistance from the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services and additional specialized support teams, executed search warrants at three residences in Black River First Nation. Officers seized long guns, multiple CO2 guns, weapons, cocaine, cash and drug trafficking materials. Four adults were arrested. Vanessa Pruden, 39, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
