RM of Macdonald — Stonewall / Headingley RCMP officer involved in shooting

On September 4, 2024, at approximately 9:10 pm, Stonewall / Headingley RCMP were called to a report of an assault and disturbance at a residence located in the RM of Macdonald. Information received indicated that a 23-year-old male had assaulted a female inside the home and attempted to light several vehicles on fire. Officers arrived on scene and were confronted by the 23-year-old male who was armed with an edged weapon.
