On August 26, 2024, at approximately 8:35 am, Virden RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 83, located approximately three kilometres south of Provincial Road 345. The investigation has determined that a vehicle, travelling southbound on Highway 83, veered over the center line and collided head-on with a northbound semi-trailer.
