Black River — Powerview RCMP investigating suspicious death

On August 18, 2024, at approximately 8:00 am, Powerview RCMP responded to a report of a deceased male located at a residence on Mayaa Road in the community of Black River. Officers attended and located a 43-year-old male who was pronounced deceased on scene. The cause of death remains under investigation as we await the results of the autopsy. Powerview RCMP, along with RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
