On June 1, 2024, at approximately 6:55 am, Norway House RCMP were notified of a severely injured 34-year-old female located outside in Kinosao Sipi Cree Nation. She was being taken to the hospital. Officers attended the hospital and learned that the female had been held against her will and assaulted repeatedly for several days. The victim was transported to Winnipeg hospital with life-altering injuries, and she remains in hospital at this time.
