On April 24, 2024, as a result of an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale of unregulated tobacco and cannabis within the City of Selkirk, officers with the Selkirk RCMP General Investigative Section (GIS) and Manitoba Finance Special Investigations Unit, executed a search warrant at a business located in the 400 block of Main Street in Selkirk. As a result of the search, officers seized over 42,000 illegal cigarettes, a small quantity of cannabis and over $18,000 in cash.
