Emerson — Emerson RCMP investigate fatal collision

On May 5, 2024, at approximately 4:30 pm, Emerson RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Provincial Road 200, just east of Emerson, in the RM of Emerson-Franklin. The investigation has determined the vehicle was travelling on PR 200, when it struck a guardrail, went off the road and caught on fire. The driver and sole occupant, a 22-year-old male from Emerson, died at the scene. Emerson RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
