Thompson — Thompson RCMP investigating assault with a weapon complaint

On May 25, 2024, at approximately 11:55 pm, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of an assault at a business establishment located on Moak Crescent in the City of Thompson. It was reported that one of the employees had been assaulted followed by a group of five males fighting outside. One of the suspects had been observed brandishing a handgun while threatening other employees. The suspects then entered a vehicle and fled the scene. The 25-year-old male employee was transported to hospital where he was treated and released.

While patrolling the area, officers conducted a traffic stop and recognized the male driver of the vehicle as a person with an outstanding warrant.
