Berens River — Berens River RCMP conduct traffic stop and seize drugs, cash and a firearm

On May 10, 2024, at approximately 6:05 pm, RCMP conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on the Main Road in Berens River First Nation. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded firearm, 66 grams of cocaine, prescription medication, over $1300.00 in cash and drug paraphernalia. A male and female were arrested.
