Thompson — Thompson RCMP investigate two stabbings

On April 27, 2024, at approximately 12:30 am, Thompson RCMP received a report that a male had been seen walking toward the hospital with a stab wound. Officers attended the hospital and located a 33-year-old male from Thompson who had been injured with an edged weapon believed to be a machete. The male had been walking in the Brandon Crescent area when he was approached by three or four young males who asked the victim for a cigarette. He was then physically assaulted and injured by the weapon.
