On April 8, 2024, at approximately 4:40 am, The Pas RCMP responded to a report of a structure fire at the Lido Theatre, located on Edwards Avenue, in The Pas. Upon arrival, officers observed extensive smoke emanating from the building. Within a few hours, firefighters from The Pas and OCN were able to extinguish the blaze. With assistance from the Office of the Fire Commissioner, the preliminary investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be the result of arson.
