Virden — Virden RCMP investigating homicide

On March 6, 2024, at approximately 10:05 am, a First Nation Safety Officer responded to a well-being check at a residence in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. Upon arrival he discovered a deceased 64-year-old male from Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. Virden RCMP attended and the matter is being investigated as a homicide. Virden RCMP along with Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
