Selkirk — Selkirk RCMP respond to armed robbery and arrest male

On March 15, 2024, at approximately 2:55 am, RCMP responded to an armed robbery at a business on Main Street in Selkirk. A male armed with an edged weapon, threatened the employee, stole items and fled. A description was obtained and officers immediately made patrols in the area and located the male. He was arrested without incident and was found to be WANTED on three outstanding warrants. Gary Richard, 39, was charged with Robbery with a Weapon, Fail to Comply x3 and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. He was remanded into custody.
