Portage la Prairie — Portage la Prairie RCMP investigating robbery

On February 21, 2024, at approximately 5:10 am, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a report of a panic alarm at a business located in the 700 block of Saskatchewan Avenue, in Portage la Prairie.   While officers were responding, an update had been received that a robbery had just occurred. Officers attended and learned that two male suspects had entered the establishment, one armed with a handgun, the other with a knife, and had stolen cash and cigarettes.
