Portage la Prairie — Portage la Prairie RCMP investigate robbery

On February 16, 2024, at approximately 9:10 pm, RCMP responded to a robbery at a business on Saskatchewan Avenue East, in Portage la Prairie. Two males entered the business armed with a firearm and a knife, demanded money, assaulted the employee and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The 31-year-old male victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects are described as male and wearing all dark clothing.
