Black River — Powerview RCMP investigating suspicious death Monday 19 August 2024 04:30 PM UTC+00 | Tags: manitoba On August 18, 2024, at approximately 8:00 am, Powerview RCMP responded to a report of a deceased male located at a residence on Mayaa Road in the community of Black River. Officers attended and located a 43-year-old male who was pronounced deceased on scene. The cause of death remains under investigation as we await the results of the autopsy. Powerview RCMP, along with RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate. Tags: manitoba

Carberry — Carberry RCMP investigate theft Thursday 22 February 2024 04:00 PM UTC+00 | Tags: manitoba On December 7, 2023, Carberry RCMP received a report of a significant theft from the Carberry Curling Club. It was reported that the former treasurer had stolen money over the past year.  The investigation has determined the suspect occupied the volunteer position of treasurer for the Curling Club and within the last year stole approximately $30,000 from the club. The suspect left the position of treasurer of the club and while she was Chief Administrative Officer of the RM of North Cypress-Langford, she used unauthorized funds from the RM to pay back the Curling Club. Selkirk — Selkirk RCMP seeking out a person of interest Friday 23 August 2024 03:15 PM UTC+00 | Tags: manitoba Selkirk RCMP are requesting public assistance in identifying a person of interest in an on-going police investigation which occurred on July 13, 2024, at approximately 10:15 pm at the Selkirk Fair and Rodeo, located at Selkirk Park. The male is believed to have been seen walking around the fairgrounds between 10:00 and 10:30 pm that evening.
